3D type modes.
Welcome. Today on this fine post i'll be showing you my many 3D scratch ideas. Most 3D. Some differ.
1. Straight 3D.
With this you can make 3D objects and add animations for them.
2. Snes Mode 7.
Wanna make a Kart racer? Use this. A 2D square will be stretched to make a 3D look. It could move and rotate!
3. 3D backdrops.
This would have backdrops turn 3D and look so. It could have some really cool 2.5D games made!
So. What do you think? Gimme feedback!

this is rejected
1.8 3D Scratch
This block, and others, could be used with a z-axis in the project stage to make it easier to create 3D projects. But, Scratch is a language that is designed to be as easy as possible for beginners to learn. Adding 3D features would make the language more difficult for beginners to understand, and a 3D engine is not exactly the purpose of Scratch. This suggestion also includes the possibility for virtual-reality features in Scratch, or “Scratch VR.” A lot of the same difficulties come up.

Right, I don't think the rejection of “3D Scratch” applies to minor costume effects. [
It would stretch the 2D object to make a more 3D perspective.

It seems like you made another topic on the “Mode 7” concept here. Since you don't discuss the other types of 3D in that thread, and you go more in-depth on what Mode 7 is there (with a very nice picture!), I'll close this thread. Feel free to continue Mode 7 discussion on the thread linked above.
