I would LOVE if there could be an icecream emoji that could be added to scratch. When I'm commenting, I get bored of only having a couple emoji's to choose from. Sorry, but an ice cream emoji is an emoji that is not related to scratch and is very obscure, with probably not being used in a usual conversation. So I don't think this is nessercary. Sorry

That emoji, along with all other food ones were added for April fools day to go along with “edible scratch” theme.

here's some history for you all
back in 2015, the scratch team introduced their april fools' prank; edible scratch
this included a set of emojis, including broccoli, aubergine (which was removed for reasons which i shall not go into), sushi, taco and some others
(waffle was already present, candy corn was added after april fools', to honour RJLance, who had left the scratch team)
this also added a new language, edible scratch, which introduced phrases like “What's cookin'?” and “Shared meals” across the website
this was going to be removed upon the move from pootle to transifex (both of which are translation servers), but would actually be removed upon the release of scratch 3.0, since the team (most likely chrisg) had found a way to continue supporting custom languages like Meow and Edible Scratch
this was the time when the scratch team were, i guess, actually embracing the 2.0 look, a look which i do dearly miss

since the prank has long come to an end, i'm not entirely sure if adding any new food emojis would end up coming off

also i believe thisandagain (really cool dude, i met him a while back) and codubee (very sarcastic sense of humour, his profile comments say it all) came in to replace rjlance - thisandagain has since left the team, however
