I don't think it should even be considered spam at all.
On my mod's forums, it will not only not be spam, but will be encouraged.

Firstly I intended to make it like that. Because nearly all the scratch-block spam posts I have seen were structured like that.

Secondly where in the terms of use does it say, “You are not allowed to moan about people misusing the scratch blocks?”. Answer: Nowhere.
I stress this point again: Just because ‘Paddle2See’ does not remove the spammy spamblock posts, it does not reflect the views of the REST OF SCRATCH. Put it this way, say Bill Gates like waffles. That would not reflect the view of his employees at Microsoft. Just because Paddle2See does not necessary mind scratch-block spam, it does not mean the rest of us scratchers don't either. When it comes down to it, the SCRATCHERS are the most important people on scratch, so if we find the scratch block spam annoying it should be removed.
I don't even like Bill Gates…
Me neither.

No one, no one, would spend the effort to do this just to evade a ban. I'm sure there are more feasible methods of spam.

Now that this topic is back somehow, I feel I need to bring this up again:

AonymousGuy wrote:

The problem with this suggestion isn't whether Scratchblocks are helpful.

It's that a filter like this would falsely tell hundreds a lot of users that their posts where Scratchblock spam.
Because, again:

  • Show and Tell
  • Project Ideas

And a lot of those are major topics! HwS, QaS, Suggestions, Bugs/Glitches!

Well, I am sorry, I am terrible on Scratch Block talk, which is why I pretty much don't use it. Sorry if the topic was filled with Scratch Block spam, and that I was purely adding to it. We all at some point spam, and sometime we don't even realize it.

But I do find it's usefulness, however. Scratch blocks are there to help display scripts and help clear out some stuff that is hard to explain in words.
Other than that, and for experimental use, I don't find use for Scratch Block talk.

But nevertheless, I think it should stay, even though it can be used as spam. *When Scratch Block Talk is relevant to the topic, it isn't as annoying as irrelevant Scratch Block Talk*

Like I said, I apologize if you found that post a bit too spam-like. (Does that even make sense, spam-like?)
If you have any more questions, concerns, or comments, feel free to let me know.

And aside from that, it really isn't against the rules, and is nothing more than a small nuisance that can make it harder to read.

What, no; I did not find your post spammish, I didn't even say that. If anything, I found your post funny.

I completely agree with you that scratchblocks are important, I don't think we need to stop it at all.

My mind reads scratchblocks weirdly, so support!
Say someone posted
why [ hello] there
young
mortals!
I would read it as why - pause - hello - pause - there - pause - young - pause - mortals

Thanks. I know it only contributed, but it was the only way I could explain it without the really long paragraph (I over explain things, so if I didn't explain by picture, almost a eighth of this page would be nothing but explanation.)

Now let's get back on topic, Scratch!

The message would not pop up in three circumstances:

On the Help with Scripts forum.
On the Scratchblocks testing topic.
When you are over 2 months old in terms of your Scratch age and you have more than 10 50 posts on the Scratch forums.

*snip*
I think it should be 50 posts (as stated in OP) BUT more than 2 months old. Half a year sounds good.
