Content warning for NFE projects (NOT A SUGGESTION FOR 13+ SCRATCH)
And what if the project changes in that week? That's just an awful idea.Fair point. Besides, I was only being theoretical. I still don't get what you mean by “if there was a warning, it would be taken down”. I never asked to loosen the restrictions for projects, at all.

oh wait i didn't read the title.Once again, my suggestion IS NOT asking for that.7.2 A 13+ version of the Scratch website or age-restricted contentrejected, sorry.
Scratch is designed for ages 8 to 16, but any content shared on the website must be appropriate for all ages. Dividing the community by making a separate, age-restricted website would not be helpful. Potential restrictions from entering the website (such as a warning, or requiring a parent to answer math equations) would not necessarily stop an underage child from entering the 13+ website.
This suggestion extends to age-restricting anything on Scratch, such as viewing specific projects. As a general rule, content shared on the Scratch website should be appropriate for all ages.I'm asking for a warning for projects marked as NFE by the ST.

I find it silly. No support. As someone who played M rated games(fallout games, call of dutys) when I was a young child, I don't think it necessary to add such warning. Scratch is simple just like it has been for the last decade or so.

Not every parent allows their children to watch Not-For-Everyone content. Try to put yourself in others' shoes, just because you played M-Rated games, that doesn't mean others did.

Better than having to create your own NFE warning AND lets scratchers know that it is NFE.
Support.

No support. There's really no beneficial purpose if this feature were to be added. A warning would not stop an underage user from viewing a project marked as NFE - kids could just click past the warning.
This is rejected too:

No support. Sometimes the ST doesn't want everyone to know why a project got marked NFE in the first place.

Of course, I wouldn't post on a topic without reading the title. The point I'm trying to get across is that a warning would not necessarily stop a child from getting into projects highly inappropriate for their age.

I can see why this restriction may pose problems. Although it's not exactly an “age restriction” as you say, it just highlights/suggests that a project is “inappropriate” somehow. If a project is inappropriate, then we unshare it. If it's not inappropriate, then we leave it up, and I don't think we need to scare people into thinking that not everything on Scratch is appropriate.
It could also lead to some users intentionally pushing the boundaries and including warnings on their own projects, thinking that it's okay to make inappropriate projects as long as they include a warning on it.

NFE projects are still projects that follow the community guidelines, it's just that the Scratch Team would prefer for less people to see it, so there's no need for a warning. If there was, the project would be taken down.
im pretty sure that the nfe system is meant as a private rating system for the st that the average user shouldnt know about.
source: multiple people have made projects showing how to see if a project is nfe or not and all of them have been taken down by the st.
openly saying that a project is nfe kinda defeats the purpose of that
No support. Sometimes the ST doesn't want everyone to know why a project got marked NFE in the first place. All of these are also pretty good points — and are correct. Not all projects which are marked NFE are “inappropriate.” It's meant to be a silent tag, anyway. So I don't think it's worth publicizing that such a feature exists.
