What is Scratch coded in?
Hello Scratch person [7 solid 3 solid]! Greeting, this post will answer your question.
Scratch 1.x versions were programmed in Squeak, a language derived from Smalltalk. Scratch 2.0 was programmed in ActionScript or Flash, and Scratch 3.0 was programmed in Javascript. It is unlikely 4.0 will use something different since JS is an integral part of the web.
Have exquisite days!

Scratch 1.x was written in Squeak, a derivative of Smalltalk. Scratch 2.0 was written in ActionScript 3 (Flash), and Scratch 3.0 is written in JavaScript. (You can even browse the source code here.)
I won't answer the last part because I don't feel like trying to predict the future.
(Predictably enough, ninja'd.)

Fortunately, there is a hard limit where the chain is broken when computers were physically wired together to create the first machine code. idk but when i realised scratch had to be coded and then that had to be coded and that had to be coded and so on and so on i found it pretty soul crushing for some reason
