I suspect most people don't share their position so that if they're a moderator thy don't get spammed with public reports, but this would make it visible to everybody. I don't like how bad this could make people's profiles, especially famous scratchers like @za-chary or @ceebee. If this was toggle-able, I may support.
Agreed. I do understand the purpose of this suggestion, but nobody should really be asking Community Moderators about bans anyway (unless they are looking to be redirected to Contact Us).

if ceebee isn't a community moderator, then all of the people who report on ceebee's profile will go over to his.
And that's a bad thing because? “People are posting things in a better place (but still not the right one) to put them. EVERYBODY PANIC!”
Are you referring to Scratch Team members' profiles as a better place to put reports? It's not — they often get ignored. I in particular delete public reports from my profile without solving the issue.

Ok. The purpose is so people know who is who and what comments are appropriate for that positon.

But at least OTHER members will not get spammed. And that is basically a community moderators job.

Well a community moderator account is the best account to report.

I don't think it's a good thing, I just don't think that this suggestion will really do much to encourage or prevent this kind of spam. I actually have my own idea for how to prevent this kind of spam, but I'm going to search for potential duplicates first.

Ooh, support.
I have asked what ST members are and this would negate the need to ask this.

There's already a list on the wiki.

support for the reasons people already said and because unlike other suggestions, this wouldn't take very long to implement

The majority of people who spam on ST members' profiles probably don't care if the ST member is a moderator or developer or even public figure - they just see “ST” and decide to report someone or suggest something on their profile. tldr people who spam on ST's profiles are too ignorant inattentive to care

Somebody might want to know how the moderating system works and does not know if a certain Scratch Team member is a member or not, and ask a designer or programmer instead. I think it should be split into three groups: Moderators, Developers and Artists/Designers.

Full support. Just today I saw some question about the Scratch Team, and I think this would clear even more of these questions up.
