How are people drawing amazing art on scratch? I try to draw something on the computer and it always ends up as a blob. Can someone help me know how please?

Are you trying to draw using a mouse only? If so, then I think what you're looking for is actually a tablet device that mimics pen gestures onto the computer screen.

They're really good computer artists, or they got the picture from the web and didn't say that they did on the notes and credits box.

Or some amazing hack that could only be created by a mad genius and drew the picture with his/her failproof hand or even FOOT!!!! just kidding(or am I???) no i'm kidding

Drawing with a mouse is very difficult; I know only a few people who can do it well, and they've had a lot of practice doing it. Much of the rest of the time the digital artists I know use a drawing tablet or stylus as cheddargirl mentioned. I've tried out some of these, and they also take a lot of getting used to–it's a bit closer to normal drawing, but still doesn't feel like pencil on paper.

A method I tried in the past was using a scanner (my mom has one for digitizing genealogical documents) to convert hand-drawn ink images to jpegs and then add color and shading using the Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), a free external bitmap editor.

The best method I've found for drawing in Scratch using a mouse is to work exclusively in the vector editor. The main problem with drawing with a mouse is that a mouse is fairly accurate for getting a cursor to a specific point, but not accurate for making the cursor follow a smooth path. In the vector editor, rather than trying to draw lines and curves, you can draw rectangles and circles and then use the reshape tool to add and move vertices, placing them in such a way to create the desired shape. This is still rather different from drawing by hand and takes practice (I've been doing it for several months now), but what I've found is that a lot of conceptual skills from non-digital art (proportioning, figuring out where to put shading, etc) do carry over.

Thanks guys. I might use some of your ideas.

The idea is to keep the mouse controlled. Just hold down the mouse and move it where you want to draw.
Also if you want to use the mouse use bitmap.
