I don't believe you can just like copy the image itself like you would do on something like Google Slides, but, you can just save the image, and from there choose to put it into a sprite, costume, or backdrop, and from there press upload and choose the image you have downloaded. Hope this helps

Please don’t quote the OP and yes you cannot copy and paste an image from online into scratch

But I couldn't find the upload button

Strange-go to a sprite, then go to the costumes, from there, hover your mouse (or whatever you use) over the “add costume” button. From there, a few buttons (or whatever they are) will pop up. Beneath the “camera” one, there will be a button that says upload. Press that, and then select the image, and then it will pop up on the costume editor.

Download the picture online, and then you can upload it onto scratch.
