Let's not bring politics into this already-salty debate…Why? Scratch loves politics! It makes reasons to block people.

New idea 2:I think you should not be able to turn off the formal area, but you can disable the notifications for it.
Creating a new comment area.
Existing comment area is the same as current one.
The new area is a little formal area. Even profile owners can't delete the comments in the area.
The other is a relaxed area.
If someone leave a comment for the formal area,
the writer is more responsible for their comment in exchange for being protected.
Profile owners can turn off comment posting each area.
This idea may meet everyone's needs,
but possibility of implement is … unknown.
(Safety issue still remains)

Semi-support.
I like the idea of deleting some comments, as some may disagree with them, hating, etc…
However, I do like the idea of requiring a reason to report. Currently, the only places this is required are the forums and projects, nothing else. I even made my own suggestion to do this.

#69:
I'm just suggesting my opinion.
On the other hand, you seem to be concluding by yourself as if you were an ST member. (e.g. you said “proved”)
I disagree with such attitudes.
Do you say “me too” again?Such reactions are not constructive. As I'm repeating, I can understand opposite opinion, too.You aren't a member of the ST either.
However, since you aren't a member of the ST, you can't judge it.
It is what the ST should judge.
i'm going to say it, im going to say it…..
Such reactions are not constructive either.

You are repeating yourself and not taking in the whole of what scratchers think, just specific people. THAT'S not constructive, even if you are the op. just because people disagree with you doesn't mean you have to repeat the same reasons over and over, the reasons why WE are repeating ourselves is to tell you that. just let people disagree with you and move on, it seems like the majority (not all i know) of scratchers on this topic don't support, so i think that might give you a hint it might not be a good feature. then again, of course i could be wrong. alot of people didn't like 3.0, but we ended up enjoying it more than any other version! i don't think these are comparable, but you might have a better time advocating for the feature/feature removal if you weren't repeating yourself and proving everyone else wrong along the way

New idea 1:No support, because if everybody discovered the feature it would be the same as removing the delete button, which i already didn't support. also it would be lengthy to implement and not many people would see the point. also, would reporting delete that comment?
Making comment writers be able to add non-deletable attribute to his/her own post.
The default attribute is off (the same as now),
If writers wished to keep the comment, they can turn it on.
Of course, they can turn it off later.
(Safety issue still remains)
New idea 2:there are many loopholes that make this hard to implement, enforce, and program. even understanding is a bit hard. one of these reasons for the original post was private messaging being possible, but i think this would almost encourage people MORE when they see “relaxed area” in the comments… is it just me? either way trolls could still comment on the formal area anyway since you talked about no security. I do not want and would not feel comfortable with hundreds of f4f and chainmail and all that in my formal area, that i can't even delete. no, just nope.

To inoking: by repeating yourself you are showing that these are the only reasons you can think of to promote your suggestion, even as those who oppose the suggestion continue providing new reasons.

it would benefit everyone, just not in a direct fashion. That's JUST your opinion, I along with @Foxy112345 say no. 2-1.To add on to this, this doesn't mean your opinion doesn't matter; rather, if a suggestion doesn't benefit everyone – and if in fact does the opposite – then it's probably not a good suggestion.

The negatives outweigh the positives for many people. However, I agree that reporting a comment should delete it.it would benefit everyone, just not in a direct fashion. That's JUST your opinion, I along with @Foxy112345 say no. 2-1.To add on to this, this doesn't mean your opinion doesn't matter; rather, if a suggestion doesn't benefit everyone – and if in fact does the opposite – then it's probably not a good suggestion.

No, it doesn't. Removing deleting and adding it to reporting will only increase reports, especially with mass reporting being a thing now-a-days.it would benefit everyone, just not in a direct fashion. That's JUST your opinion, I along with @Foxy112345 say no. 2-1.To add on to this, this doesn't mean your opinion doesn't matter; rather, if a suggestion doesn't benefit everyone – and if in fact does the opposite – then it's probably not a good suggestion.

No support. People sometimes tend to delete perfectly fine comments because they want to organize their profile. Or, in some cases they posted something on accident and don’t want it there. (I’ve done that before.) If only the “report” button was available, people would be inclined to use it as the “delete button” and just type something quick and random for the explanation just so they would be able to delete the comment.
