From what I've seen in the books, they're usually localised into American English (over here at least); I always see -or instead of -our, -ize instead of -ise, and other spelling or grammar rules.

However…

Rabbitleap meowed, “Rootspring, have you got bees in your brain?”
“No, I have not,” Rootspring replied indignantly.

They both use “have got” instead of “have”, which as far as I know is a lot more of a British English phrase. I've barely ever heard it used over here.
And thus, Rootspring is British >:3
