I don't understand the point of this federation; if this is a Requests forum trade association, it doesn't offer many perks to its members, and if it's a way for shop owners to advertise their shops, it appears not to do that other than with a mini-directory several posts below the OP.
It's now seemingly getting caught up in bureaucracy again, like the old USS, without the benefits (such as a USS members directory on every shop's OP) and membership numbers of the old USS, without its Senate and so on that helped boost participation in the old USS.
It’s also rejected the idea of a USS-performed bump beyond a (admittedly quite spammy) newsletter every seven days, leaving almost zero benefits for shops and making me question the purpose of the USS (and post-2020 shop federations as a whole). I don’t mean any offense by saying this.

Hello, I would like to vote for Austinato. Also, I just remembered that this Monday I am starting school FULL-TIME so I might not be on as much as I used to be, unless weekends and breaks. Also during my summer break it is still the same, me only being mostly during weekends because of laptop issues…Banner Vote

I don't understand the point of this federation; if this is a Requests forum trade association, it doesn't offer many perks to its members, and if it's a way for shop owners to advertise their shops, it appears not to do that other than with a mini-directory several posts below the OP.That's a good point. The directory idea that we had was the closest to solving this problem but it has since went cancelled. We can probably bring it back, though.
It's now seemingly getting caught up in bureaucracy again, like the old USS, without the benefits (such as a USS members directory on every shop's OP) and membership numbers of the old USS, without its Senate and so on that helped boost participation in the old USS.I'd also like to stray from the USS being wrapped into bureaucracy like it has been in the past, but I think right now our main issue is staff inactivity. As for what you said in parentheses, our “proud member” banners might be similar to that.
My push to abolish the Senate system was mostly for us to focus on bringing the USS back into basic activity (and simplify involvement in the federation), but maybe we can explore bringing that concept back given that we seem to be experiencing a dip in engagement in this topic.
It’s also rejected the idea of a USS-performed bump beyond a (admittedly quite spammy) newsletter every seven days, leaving almost zero benefits for shops and making me question the purpose of the USS (and post-2020 shop federations as a whole). I don’t mean any offense by saying this.I rejected the bump perk because I believed it was up to shops to keep themselves running (instead of having someone bump a shop that isn't even trying to be active) but maybe we can implement it as an opt-in program like the newsletter. The newsletter itself isn't even spammy; it hasn't even been sent out and it is only planned to be released monthly. As for the newsletter post sent out to shops, I hope we can stray from making it super lengthy.
Edit: Adding to the middle of this post, 78ch3's inactivity/inability to update the OP is sort of serving as a roadblock to making changes to our federation. Hopefully that can be resolved soon. Thanks for your feedback; this post gave me some ideas on how to keep improving the USS.
Edit 2: This goes to anyone else reading this: feel free to voice your opinion!

Also, funny that this person is expressing concern about the USS starting up as this was the same person that expressed concern about ShopBux starting up.

The SCA is working on providing some benefits to the USS.

The USS is partnering with the SSA, right? Just wondering because the SCA recently partnered with the SSA.

Ok, thanks.
By the way, about the staff issues, I could work here if you'd like. I already have like a million jobs in Requests.
