Cookie Variables!
So you are saying it will be stored on the computer? No support. Several reasons:
Most people don't ever accept cookies because of security reasons.
It will not get accepted because a project will download something without permission
Somebody may find a glitch to make the cookie malware
Some people have low storage

1. A message before setting a cookie variable and you can disable them
2. Warning + number 1
3. I don't think cookies are just executed.
4. Cookies are very small. And even if they weren't, then a cap could be used of 256/1k/any other number of characters..

1) if you want to use scratch you have to so, no issue
2)^
3) cookies arent an exe file or something, if that was an issue it wouldnt be scratch exclusive.
4) if you have mere kilobytes left on your computer you have much bigger problems

What about a downloadable variable? This means that I can delete the ones I don't want, but keep ones that I do, so it's not an all-or-nothing matter. Yeah, it's probably easier to hack than a cookie, but you can make it so that it can't be opened/used except in the project it was made. It can also store the # of the project on Scratch, so it can't be used for the wrong project or something.

1. Scratch already uses cookies for other stuff
2. They're not tracking cookies, so they're fine.
3. How?
4. Most computers now days have at least 500 GB and tablets and phones have at least 32 GB, it's not really an issue.
Changed to Simi-Support.

Seems cool. Although they would have to add some protection against changing the scratchsessionsid cookie.

I no-supported this earlier, but I changed my mind. There is a library for this in Snap! and it's extremely useful. Here are what the blocks should look like (sorry for the big images, the forums don't except emojis.)

Here are my opinions:
1.This should definitely not replace cloud variables.
2.There should be a notice on the project page kind of like the username block notice.
3. There should also be cookie lists.
4.There should be two checkmarks on the create a variable menu: one for cloud vars and one for cookie vars, checking either of them will grey out the other.

Having stored data on your computer could be very useful in some projects that need saving systems, although it should probably have a limit like cloud vars.

As for the suggestion, semi-support.
Saving and loading in games would become way simpler, with just a tap of a button to save or load.
For storage purposes and to prevent users from creating a bunch of large cookie variables to destroy one's storage, there would have to be options for a user to delete cookies on the site, as well as limitations for the variables.
Other than that, this would be an interesting addition.

How could they? (This suggestion is only storing your own data, not accessing other data)What if someone exploits cookies for malicious purposes?Like what exactly?

The fact that it's the suggestions forum doesn't feel like a valid excuse to bump up a topic from 5 years, but whatever.Necroposting does't exist in suggestions. Also they are also bumpingbumpPlease don't necropost.
I know what bumping a topic is, you don't need to tell me.
