Just saw mine and another person's topic get dustbinned, and we both had a poll in ours.

So, are you allowed to use the console code to make polls?

The person who brought polls to the forums (i think it was @Jeffallo) needs to confirm with the ST whether that is allowed or not, so all topics regarding that seem to be getting dustbinned.

I'd assume that's because there's no way to make a topic not a poll once it becomes a poll (which is done when you're making the topic). Just speculation, though.

Polls are not a feature that we intended to implement. So there isn't any sense in cluttering up the forums with them or confusing folks with these topics. Poll topics will be removed as they appear - please stop making them.

Wait, so can we use them as long as they're not the main focus of a topic? (like a suggestion) Or will every single topic that uses them get deleted?

I would say, stick on the safe side for now.

why don't you (or other ST members) just remove polls from the source code? or block requests trying to create them? there's no point in them being a thing if you have to manually delete them, anyway
