Let's try to get responses to my suggestions (1 & 2, 3 & 4) soon, particularly #3. Parts of our staff seem to be a bit inactive (with some having already resigned), so I'll try to review and sort that out soon.

Head Staff Update
This is an updated version of our staff and their status in terms of activity. It's not looking too good, and this mostly disregards the fact that it's likely spring break time for some people (and may reduce activity):

I'm not trying to dogpile here, but I've been kind of doing a bunch for this federation. Hopefully the Secretary can handle the next activity check and keep it on its scheduled pace (possibly April 14-21 if things go as planned.) I can help format the next activity check; I just want someone else to handle the task of frequently updating it and sending the messages out.

MClovers, there isn't a strict deadline and there doesn't need to be much pressure here, but how is the newsletter going? I can help if you need, but please refer to the previous section of this post as well.

p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p- is supposed to be in charge of the directory, but not only did not many shops respond to our inquiry about what category they wanted to be placed in, but p himself hasn't been quite active. We might put a pause on it or change leadership of that if needed.

Another option is to just simplify it down to asking shops if they want to be included in it (with us categorizing them ourselves) in the next activity check, again possibly set to start on April 14 and conclude around April 21.

I propose we add a question in the shop joining form about whether they would like to subscribe to our newsletter. If approved, this would go into effect immediately (even if 78ch3 doesn't update the form): we will ask shops once we approve any pending applications.

Owners Message

So far, the new USS has started off pretty well. We've gained 15+ shop applicants, I’m seeing new posts daily and there is very little negative argument going on. It didn’t take long for the new USS to gain traction after it's reboot on my birthday to 2 months later. However, I ran into an issue where the first page of the USS was unaccessible, due to a “security issue” error appearing. I’m pretty sure this is a glitch in the system. Others could access it fine, I could not. I need to use my PC to edit the front page, which is inconvenient as it doesn't take as long to boot up my iPad as it does with my PC (even though the difference is rather small). I’m hoping this issue is not permanent, but for now it is difficult to get things updated. The USS team is doing a great job, and I hope they can continue doing this in the future.

All I need is an updates list for the USS and I don't know how much we would put on. Possibly just the main features added since the reboot?

Congratulations, your staff application has been accepted! Welcome to the team. Check out our staff tools post which has some useful content for your duties as moderator. As with other applications, you're officially a member starting now, even if you're not added to the member list yet.

I have added numbers to parts of your quoted post, which I am replying to here:
(1) For now, at least from my interpretation, staff forms are really only used for the Moderator position. The Owner, President, and Secretary positions are chosen rather than applied for. We (as the head department, which now includes you!) should probably make that clearer or agree upon that.
(2) Although you aren't required to share your pronouns, thank you for sharing!
(3) What did you mean by this? I can try to answer some!
(4) According to this post which is found in the link I provided above, Moderators should bump the topic and ensure things remain on-topic. Moderators also have power to accept staff and shop applications.

Sorry if you have already found a fix to this problem, but I may have a solution: while I was gone, the shop continued like it normally would - however, they couldn't access the original post because I'm the only one who can edit it. So, what they did was they explained the situation to those who asked, and when I returned, cs4233117 gave me a list of updates.

Hi, this is a post regarding the SCA. In cs4233117's list of updates, they said there would be a "Meeting amongst the SCA staff and USS president, where would be forums OR a studio.". I would like to know more about this, as I never saw this post in the SCA or USS forums.

Recently, I made a post draft which contains a detailed timeline of what we have been up to since January. If you want, I can share it and you can use the most important parts of it for the newsletter! As a heads up, it's still missing a few things but it's still pretty comprehensive.

Again, welcome back! Thanks for the suggestions, but we pretty much did exactly that! The only issue was that the changelog was being compiled at the same time we were making some significant changes to the federation. For the most part, it's been resolved, I believe. 78ch3 is still partially inactive, though.

With all respect, cs4233117 told us the same thing but I don't really know how the meeting would work (or what it would be about.) I'm interested in engaging in it, though.
