No, not really. What you could do is convert it to bitmap (so it wont mess with the new drawing) and draw over it. I'm doing a lot of that sort of thing on the project I'm working on, which is a fanmade version of a game and I want it to look like the original and it works pretty well.

Support. I although I do use the default graphics a bit, I don't really mess with them; if I need a different graphic, I make it, but for experiment projects I just stick with the Scratch cat. However, I gather that a lot of newer Scratchers prefer to use the default graphics, and this could make things less confusing for them.
