I asked this sometimes in Beta and was told it wasn't a priority and I understood that when there were more important things to develop but I would really like turning off avatars/signatures (both for page loading and to get rid of clutter) as well as changing topic/posts shown per page (you've DECREASED the default amount from 25 to 20 as well!)

So I'm not saying this needs to be done tomorrow or anything but can I have some assurance that it will happen?

I don't think it will. It's not on the tracker.

That's a shame.

My internet is pretty slow so being able to speed it up without all the images would be nice.

And the people making the signatures aren't exactly graphical design gods so very few to none of them are nice to look at….

Also I got really used to 75 posts a page on the old site

Well, for specific sigs, if you don't like looking at them, you can do what I do: just block the image URL in your firewall.
