Heyo everyone, The ol' forum emojis look a bit blurry and unaesthetic so I am suggesting a new design for them.

See what I mean?

Why? I like the current design. It's supposed to be blurry as it is an pixel art. And it doesn't look blurry to me.

They're definitely quite old school internet in their appearance, which I don't think is necessarily a bad thing seeing as the bulletin board style forums are also pretty old school in how they operate and look.

If they update the emojis, they have to update the forums to a 3.0 style too.

Any suggestion that says “unaesthetic” in the OP is probably not a very good one in my opinion. Also that's not what blurry means

I agree with this, but the forums would have to be made 4.0 if we upadete them So sorry no support. Why? I like the current design. It's supposed to be blurry as it is an pixel art. (beacuse the forums aren't getting an upadate to 4.0 at the very least.) (maybe the will update it to 5.0)Last edited by PGBFLITE6373 (March 18, 2021 12:47:21)

-snip-This is a really nice mock up! I would like these emojis a lot in the forums.

The thing is that those image are huge; when shrunk down to the size of regular forum emojis they'll just look pixelated, except they'll look worse since they weren't designed at the size unlike pixel art. And if they use bilinear or nearest neighbor interpolation to shrink them down, it will look awful…

They're actually designed to be used as emojis, if Scratch Team wants to use these emojis, they'll probably just use the SVG icons, which will look fine shrunk. The thing is that those image are huge; when shrunk down to the size of regular forum emojis they'll just look pixelated, except they'll look worse since they weren't designed at the size unlike pixel art.
