I went to view my friend Izzymaster's project “Kahotep”, and got a message saying this:

"The server http://scratch.mit.edu:80 requires a username and password. The server says: Scratch"

Is this a scam/virus?

You just saved me from a heart attack because the same is happening to me. Apparently, the same is happening to other scratchers (though hopefully without the heart attack).

Anyway, from what I've gathered after I've posted my topic, it doesn't look like this is a scam or virus; just a bug in the Scratch website. You should be fine. ;)

me as well. i put my password in and it just popped up again. i have now changes the password.

This glitch prevents me from being able to access some of my projects, it is very disruptive and probably a small error, and ought to be fixed asap please!

If It was hacked, the hackers would go straight to the passwords and stuff.

Lightnin just informed me that this is a glitch, and it has been fixed now. If anyone gets it again, please tell him.
