I want to learn how to make banners for my shop, How do you make them?

I use Canva, which gives you templates sometimes. My shop banner was made with Canva. Adobe Sketch is also good as you can start from scratch (sorry for the bad pun) but you have to make a custom size as the length of the canvas templates don't really work as banners.

A banner is just a piece of artwork, and can be anything. The only requirement is that it must be 900x200px or smaller so that it fits in signatures.

what are the custom dimentions in canva for a good scratch banner?

900 x 200 or 1800 x 400 (for if you want to work with a bigger size

also please make your own threads for questions, espeically if the topic is old, as you will soon learn from like 5 people telling you *presumably* very rudely.

um, isn't that how forums work? there's a topic about “bans” so people discuss in that topic about bans, answer and ask questions? that seems like it would actually better organize things rather then having 5 different topics on bans.

anyway, to make a banner, you need an unshared project, share your banner project, open up your profile in one tab, and your mystuff in the other, click “change featured project” and then select the banner, don't hit okay yet though. go to your mystuff tab and unshare the banner project, go back to your profile tab and hit okay, then you should get a banner, after realoading the page.
there is an odd time where it will glitch up and show that your project is still shared, so just wait a few minutes for it to return to normal. as for the style, the other posts should help with that, and you can also use a tutorial by @World_Languages to apply an animated thumbnail, which can add style to your banner. you can also get technical and create your own GIF's (which you'll need to animate the thumbnail) with gifmaker.me, or any other gif making program.
