MClovers, are you fine with producing the newsletter? You can just create the post and share it in this thread once a week. p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p- has agreed to take care of it from there (by sending it to subscribed shops.) Concerning which shops have opted-in or opted-out, p (for short) said they are going to ask shops if they want to subscribe to it as part of the activity check they'll be carrying out within the next few days.
I'm working on the format for the shop activity check now.
To @MClovers - Can I please do part of the newsletter? I'm thinking of a featured shop part that features a shop.
Additionally, part of the activity check will ask whether they want a weekly newsletter or a monthly newsletter, which will summarize the weekly newsletter. Would you want to do the monthly newsletter?

Like said above, I'm working on formatting it. I want to include the thumbnail thing, but I want to provide a reward for whoever's banner get's chosen. Maybe they get something in bold at the top of the page that says “Thanks for the banner, ____!”, or maybe on the newsletter?
Speaking of newsletters and banners, I think that we should add that the winning banner must be edit-able (Like in a project, or maybe they link a file with it) so that we can add a sub-title to it, so that the newsletter has a banner.
p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-, as we've discussed previously, you'll be in charge of parts of the directory. It seems to be a team effort, based on what you have told me, so I'll allow you to explain your concept in a post soon.

I have made a reserved post on the front page. I'm going to use it as a directory portal, and it's going to have a guide. Inside the guide, there's going to be categories, such as what the shop ‘sells’, but there's also going to be a table of contents below each category, in small text with a list of all of the shops. when you click on one of the links, it will bring you to a page with all of the shops in that category, along with the shop name, a short description, a long description, an average of ratings, the owner, any important info (like if they changed their name), and keywords to help find the shop if you do ctrl+f. As secretary, I'll write all of this, but I need somebody to manage the pages in the directory, which means editing them frequently. It's preferable they're on the same page, too (like on this page, so whoever gets chosen has to apply quickly so we don't have a million posts). Let me know if you want to help!

I'm pretty sure the Moderator position is the only staff position that could be applied for. The Owner, President, Secretary, and Head Moderator positions are relatively permanent, at least from my understanding. If any of these positions were to go unoccupied, we might do an election for the first three or promote a Moderator to Head Moderator.

I'll admit that this task isn't critical, nor is it really even necessary, but I figured you can write a brief official declaration of our partnership with The Shop Connection Alliance. In the most recent mega-post of mine, I gave you a link to a similar declaration from 2018.

You can write whatever, and it's totally fine if it's short. You can add things such as “we are pleased to officially announce our partnership with The Shop Association,” and so on. In the future, we can link the declaration post as proof of our partnership. Though it'll be posted here, you may also post it in their thread if you wish to do so.

Edit: To answer your question about what this partnership even is to begin with, it's just a mutual friendship between the two federations. We are not merging, adding shops, or anything like that directly from this merger.

Good point. I make sure to have some sort of consultation before we make relatively major changes, but you're right that something like that doesn't really need approval.

Another good point. I'd suggest p (for short) to simply go through the threads and see if the shop is currently active using common sense (such as observing when the most recent post was, noticing if they said they're going inactive, and so on.) If p determines the shop to be active, then there wouldn't be any need for posting in each of the threads. Perhaps the only exceptions would be when a shop has been marked as inactive, when there's a newsletter, and/or if there's a questionnaire that needs to be answered.

We are going to have a newsletter. In your post, please include whether or not your shop would like to recieve this newsletter. This newsletter contains new information from the USS, and tidbits on what the USS does, and includes a featured shop article. Your shop can get it weekly, or you can get a summary every month.
The USS needs a new banner! The old one looks a bit bland, and so we're changing it. If you want to help, you can submit your banner before March 31st. To qualify, you'll need a main banner, an activity check banner, and a monthly newsletter banner. These can all be the same with small text clarifying what it is, or they can be very different. If you're looking for a color, you can use this, or this. The person(s) who's banner is used will get their (group) name(s) somewhere on all posts that use their banner.
We are creating a shop directory including a lot of information on the shop, including a description, their owner, keywords, and much more. If you have information you would like included, or if something isn't accurate (like the owner), please let us know in your reply.
