I would love a way to get rid of, or recolor the borders of lists and those, horrible, no good, rotten, orange variable borders. I hated them ever since 2.0. They look seriously ugly. That is all.

I'd also like the customization on my variables as well.

They are currently openly testing animated text, which allows a sprite to show text on the screen in a desired font and size, meaning you won't need to use the built-in variable GUIs and speech bubbles. I'm not sure when the feature will be released for normal use, but you can test it out here

I don't think that they are saying that. They want custom looks for variables, not animated text.

The new feature is called animated text but it's really just a way to show text on screen in a way other than speech bubbles or variables

Full support, an add-on to this feature could be to apply your own background (with an uploaded image). A few alternate fonts would be cool, too.
