I've only ever played Among Us with friends on VC, so I've never needed to use the chat.
It sounds useful, especially for the large chunk of people who play on mobile, where typing can be hard

I accidentally typed my actual age in (under 18) when I KNEW I should've said I was 50 years old so I didn't get restricted, so I got locked on a setting where i could only use quick chat, then I had to delete the game and get it back, say I was 50, but then I LOSSED my MINI CREWMATE BUNDLE THAT I PAID £2 FOR!!!

You dont lose purchases by deleting local game data
