Text To Speech (TTS) not working in Scratch Desktop version 3.17.1

Interesting error:

Block definition #0 in JSON array overwrites prior definition of "text2speech_menu_voices".
Block definition #1 in JSON array overwrites prior definition of "text2speech_menu_languages".
Block definition #0 in JSON array overwrites prior definition of "text2speech_speakAndWait".
Block definition #1 in JSON array overwrites prior definition of "text2speech_setVoice".
Block definition #2 in JSON array overwrites prior definition of "text2speech_setLanguage".

And after executing the code…

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'slice' of undefined
    at AudioEngine._decodeSound (AudioEngine.js?6e3e:146)
    at AudioEngine.decodeSoundPlayer (AudioEngine.js?6e3e:146)
    at Object.eval [as callback] (index.js?9e3d:746)
    at cbOnce (index.js?eec7:64)
    at XMLHttpRequest.loadFunc (index.js?eec7:131)

Offline Inspect xD

Scratch 3.18.1 has been out for a while now. Hopefully by the time 3.19 is released, the bug will be fixed.

Can replicate. It seems that this “Cannot read property ‘slice’ of undefined” error is possibly blocking this

No, because the text-to-speech is provided by the Scratch servers.
