for whatever reason, people still are saying that it was wrong for the ST to take down CSW. however, the wiki only existed as a gossip site filled with spiteful people, there's a lot of controversy revolving it and other “reception wikis”, and it created a lot of drama even though it wasn't needed. heck, they called someone a SJW for telling the ST about the wiki, and also said the ST doesn't care about peoples opinions.

People think that it is constructive criticism to say stuff like “THIS SCRATHER SHOULD JUMP OFF A CLIFF” maybe not exactly that but you get the idea, it was just insults

Due to what's been happening and all the mistakes the ST made, they blame it on them.

it was a wiki on miraheze that is part of a series of wikis called “reception wikis”. the site was dedicating to “giving scratchers criticism” and “helping them improve”. there was also a secondary wiki called “c**ppy scratch projects wiki”. i censored the first word because the forums does not like it when i say that.

They just didn’t like that the scratch team kidnapped a bunch of peoples accounts until they delete all of the wiki

(Idk what’s going on in my mind but when I hear “crummy scratchers” I just think a bunch of scratch team members kidnapped people and told the owner that you have to delete the wiki and you will get them back (simulated in real life))

i used to be a user on the wiki. but not because i supported their ideas. me and @BlairTheAnimator just wanted to “fix” the wiki. however, that was a dumb move, as reception wikis were doomed from the start. is there any reason why they didn't put me under hostage?

People are likely sympathising with it because of a thing called freedom of expression.

Indeed, it can be highly amusing.

But it still is kind of inappropriate humour. Though the ST shouldn't be banning people for stuff they do outside of Scratch, I get where they're coming from.

I've heard they banned everyone who contributed to it, not just those who advertised it.

They didn't realize that cyberbullying scratchers, who are mostly children, was bad, and they didn't think the ST had a justification for taking it down (even though they had a bunch of reasons too).

Another reason is they think they are just being “honest” but really they were depressing kids and making them consider that they should oof

In my opinionn, the crummy scratchers wiki is basically cyberbullying. That is straight out flaming and attacking scratchers who aren't as good as the rest.
