I've actually been waiting for someone to release a Fridge ransomware that'll spoil your milk if you don't pay Bitcoin.i only download files onto my samsung smartfridge Nobody said it was spyware since it has to go through your files. It might come as a surprise but Norton's business model is trick enough gullible people in to thinking they need to pay a premium for another generic antivirus. It isn't a special product, and like all antivirus products (free or paid), has heavy amounts of invasive telemetry that are legitimate privacy concerns.
Also point 4 is completely wrong. PCs don't become magically vulnerable from not having antivirus software installed. Don't install random garbage from websites and you don't actually need an antivirus.

I heard samsung fridges have 3.8576% more vulns than Louis Vuitton Toasters. You should switch mani only download files onto my samsung smartfridgeNobody said it was spyware since it has to go through your files. If you or your family are paying for it, I'd highly recommend you stop. Upgrade to Windows 10 if you haven't already, and use Windows Defender.Alright, BRUH moment. As a more serious answer, you should
Microsoft has been in the enterprise security market for a long while, the previous versions of Windows Defender from the Vista / 7 / 8 days were extremely watered down, Win10's version of Defender is extremely good, and is freely included with any Windows 10 installation.
(1) Norton is NOT spyware. It obviously has to go through your programs & files to find viruses, Windows Defender does the same
(2) If you don't use Norton, how do you even know it's Spyware if it's useful to 1000s of people around the globe?
(3) Windows Defender is USELESS without a connection to Microsoft's Cloud as it highly relies on Microsoft's Cloud for detecting Malware
(4) So if Microsoft's Cloud goes down, your computer is HIGHLY vulnerable.
(5) The only reason to upgrade to Windows 10 is JUST FOR DEFENDER? Well, I use Norton on Windows 7 and it has been protecting me since 2015.
Also point 4 is completely wrong. PCs don't become magically vulnerable from not having antivirus software installed. Don't install random garbage from websites and you don't actually need an antivirus.
