What's the difference between Scratch and Snap?
Snap is a modification of Scratch 1.4. It adds a lot of new blocks and features like first-class variables and lists, at the expense of almost nobody using it.

The main difference is that Scratch is meant to be an introductory programming languages. Snap! has more advanced features.
Snap is a modification of Scratch 1.4. It adds a lot of new blocks and features like first-class variables and lists, at the expense of almost nobody using it.I don't think the new blocks and features make it less popular. It isn't even harder to use for beginners than Scratch.

Additionally, only pre-4.0 BYOB (before it was renamed to Snap!) is a Scratch 1.4 mod. Later versions are completely from scratch (not Scratch).

Snap! is something like Scratch 1.4, but more advanced. Snap! has more blocks, and the event blocks moved to the control section!

and the event blocks moved to the control section! That's not a feature of Snap, that's just how it was in 1.x.

What's the difference between Scratch and Snap?
DeletedOk, i will say it.
I think it’s a version off scratch with a few new blocks in exchange for bad graphics and forums.
