Create Your Own Boba!!
Hello everyone!!! This is my boba project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/479236226 If you don't like to read just skip this completely and consider checking out my project, maybe? Ok anyways, this project is actually a big thing for me because after this project, I started to make WAY better projects.
Making Boba
____________________________________________________________
Okay first of all, this is how my family makes homemade boba. It's actually not homemade, it's just store bought boba that we boil then coat in brown sugar. The tea is ordered from many places. We try to keep it natural though (We don't normally have fruity teas, just milk tea, jasmine, or earl grey). However, it's probably WAY better to make your own boba pearls. Idk how to make those (I know you need tapioca starch) but most of the ingredients are probably from Asian stores.
What is Boba?
_____________________________________________________________
No offense to those who think this, but boba is not a slushy with some pearls inside. That, in MY opinion, isn't boba. Authentic boba has a tea with either milk or no milk and some warm boba with other toppings. The main thing is TEA TEA TEA. Not slushies and smoothies. Again, no offense, it's just MY opinion. Also, boba tea isn't the same thing as Boba Fett, it's like from two entire different universes. Boba tea being a real thing, and Boba Fett being a character from Star Wars!! Okay, now to the actually pearls. The pearls is what makes boba… BOBA!! Without them, they'd be just…. tea. The boba pearls are chewy brown sugar balls that contain some sort of tapioca powder that gives it its texture. There's also the cousins of boba pearls: crystal pearls, baby boba, and popping boba. Crystal pearls are like clear versions of the boba except they are more like jelly balls. Baby boba, as I like to call them, are tiny versions of the boba. Normally little children get these baby boba so they don't choke on the large pearls. Popping boba is like a dessert version of fish eggs. They have a thin layer of this coating that keeps it from spilling its insides, a sweet runny juice. Boba these days are normally brown, however back then, they were white.
Where should I go to buy boba?

To get some authentic REAL teas, you should go to Boba Guys, 7 Leaves, or Serenitea. These places have REAL teas rather than syrups. However, they are quite pricey and lines are pretty long at Boba Guys and 7 Leaves. If you just want a quick stop for boba head to T4, Teaspoon, OMG Tea, ShareTea, Bobaholics, or KungFuTea. Honestly the list could go on, but these are some quality places for a quick stop. Most of these stores use syrups for their fruity teas, but if you choose the right milk tea, it could possibly be REAL tea. A place that I recommend is Pop Up. This store is A MA ZING!! They have their own boba bar where you add your own toppings. Their pandan waffles are great as well!! If you want to make your own boba, you can find ingredients at Asian stores. We like to get our boba from an online supplier, Bossen.
What tea should I try out?

I'm not really a sugar type of person, so I would recommend getting something like Rose milk tea if they have it. If it's from a authentic store, you're in for a treat. The other stores also are pretty good though! If you want something fruity, get a mango or something like it. OR if you want a very good authentic tea, get jasmine or milk tea. I also recommend getting a creme or a cheese topping. SHHHH don't mind the cheese part. It's actually a really good salty froth they put on top of the boba!!
If you read all the way to here… *clap clap* Congrats. Yes, this is my sorta guide/recommendation for boba!! Reply in this chain if you've ever tried boba, or what your favorite boba is, or if you actually tried out my game, or what boba places you recommend!!! Anything really… Also, if anyone wants, I'm willing to make a studio IF someone else will be my co-manager…. So that's all!!!! Check out my project or at least just consider it!!!
