Wiki Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Today we have the 57th edition of Wiki Wednesday for everyone. We hope you’ve all had a great start to the year!
What is the Scratch Wiki?
The Scratch Wiki is a collaboratively-written wiki available for free that provides information about the Scratch programming language and its website, history, and phenomena surrounding it. The wiki is supported by the Scratch Team, but is primarily written by Scratchers. The Scratch Wiki is a popular source of information for scripts and tutorials, and it continues to grow as Scratchers use it as their primary source of information. This could also include advanced articles for Scratchers around the world to build, share, and see.

There are many languages which do not have a Scratch Wiki! If you know a language without a Wiki, then you can help create one. Learn more here! We are looking for native speakers in a certain language and do not require any applicants to have a perfect grasp on the English language.
A big thank you goes to MakeTheBrainHappy for organizing this Wiki Wednesday and writing the post. Credit to Yummygum on iconfinder.com for the flag icons!
Without further ado, here are the Wiki Articles of the Month:
English: Website Comments
A comment is a message that is posted on a project, studio or profile page. Users are also able to reply to comments; replies are only one level deep, but a user can choose to reply to any specific comment in a reply chain. Replies are automatically prefaced with @username to indicate whom they are meant for. Comments can be deleted by the Scratch Team or the owner of the profile/project (but can only be deleted by the Scratch Team on studios; however, managers of the studio can delete their own comments.), and are automatically removed when reported inappropriate by two or more users.

/hj is the worst tone indicator. It's confusing and ambiguous. I hate it. The point of tone indicators is to indicate tone, or the way that a piece of text should be read, but what does “half joking” mean? Do you just wake up in the morning and think “wow, I really have something I want to talk about seriously but also kinda not, IDK you decide.” It's useless. I hate it. It just provokes a deep rooted anger within me whenever I see it. People just comment /hj as if it makes any sense. It doesn't. Oh wow, it's a tone indicator that's has a relative meaning, how useful, I'll use it in every comment I post. NO. STOP IT. You're a tone indicator, you have only one job, and yet you sit there doing nothing apart angering me.
/srs
^^^ (there's more below)
This one is useful because it tells you that this signature is fully 100% serious. (/srs) Who would've thought that tone indicators needed to tell you something about the piece of text they're attached to? /s
I'm serious, I'm not even going to put multiple (/hj)s a the end of my signature as to mock the previous paragraph for not getting the point of something(like previous version of my signature). /srs

The devs are so DEV-PRESSED by most people spamming the server that they decided not to put it on the front page.It probably takes some time for the devs to update the website. I think they didn't put it on the front page because it makes it have less spam!

Cool! Why isn’t this on the front page?
April Fools' topics:
— New Buildings in Scratch's headquarters
— Give every Scratcher an M1 MacBook Air
— Scratch should let users edit other Scratchers' projects
— Make a statue for Jeffalo
— Scratch Tech Tips™
— Make a Chiroyce statue emoji
<img src=“x” onerror=“alert('XSS vulnerability discovered')”>
this is a test sentence

Nice!
It's dead sometimes, and when it's alive, everywhere gets blockspammed. I'm glad that Announcements isn't always dead.
