Hi all,
I'm a middle school teacher, and my students are turning in one of their projects for a class grade.
I have one sweet student who cannot remember his username or password. He knows it has “asu” and “sun devil” in it, in some form, but he's at a loss for recovering the username.
Is there a way to recover a lost username?

You can always use the Contact Us link on the bottom of every page for situations like this.

Well - that's not a lot to go on, I'm afraid. Do you know the account names of any students that might have used the same computer network connection? We could look at the usage on the IP address. I didn't see any names similar on your own IP, unfortunately. How about the email address that was used to make the account? We could search on that as well - please use the Contact Us button on the bottom of every page rather than reveal emails on an open forum though.

I would go with this route as it's much faster: typing in the e-mail address used to sign up for the account will send an e-mail with the username details (along with a password reset link, but you can just ignore that part of the message and let the link expire if the password wasn't forgotten).

Oh yeah - that works too

Much appreciated and will do. We didn't even have the username so we could not do lost password recovery.. I'll use the contact form tomorrow if we still can't recover it.

You can look at the email that scratch sent you / your parent when you first started scratch to get your username. then you can click “need help?” when you go to log in and get an email telling you your password
