The2000 Animations

This is my 2000th post, and I felt like doing something sorta special for the occasion. So as I'm sure literally every single one of you is aware (notice: sarcasm), I have recently released a new animation after a very long hiatus. But what I don't think I made obvious in that project is that I'm actually planning on releasing a series of animations. The next one is currently in progress, and will take place chronologically after the first one. Since I just got back things are a little weird right now, but I should be able to get things to how I envision them in a project or two.

I have been planning on making a thread for this series for a while now, so I decided it's probably the best thing I can do with this very special achievement. I will update this thread every time I release a new animation, and I may also occasionally showcase screenshots of upcoming projects. Anyway, yeah, go check out that first animation or something. Link again

I'm currently writing the script for the sequel, but I already have a pretty good idea how the first half of it will play out.

(I plan on organizing this thread better when there are more projects released)

The current problem I'm running into with writing the script is that it's kind of a different thing from the first one. The first one was pretty easy since it was basically just an announcement project where I could quite literally “be myself.” The second one is intended to be a story-driven departure from the first, where I introduce all the characters and set pieces and such that I will use in the future. It will also probably be at least three times the length of the first, which is another hurdle to get past entirely. I don't want to compromise the project itself though, and I want it to be in the best shape imaginable when I release it. I'm currently working on designing a better signature which will include a link to this thread, which should hopefully fix the problem of this thread being as quiet as it is. So yeah, feel free to discuss the first animation here for now or whatever.

At the time of writing that, yes. I have two ideas for animations that I might be able to work on before I get finished with this one to make the gap in time between the first and second “chronological” animations seem a little shorter.

Because lip sync (and there's one part I wanna have sync with the music as well). I didn't wanna torture my family by constantly repeating the same (probably poorly voice-acted tbh) lines over and over again either. However my parents ordered new headphones and they arrived way sooner than I was expecting so I don't need to worry about that anymore

yes (i mentioned that in the reveal project)

In other news, progress has been pretty slow on the project. I got voice acting for the first section of the project done, but I'm not very proud of how a certain section turned out so I'm going to re-do that entire part.

I haven't gotten any more animating done since the last post, but I did come up with a new way to kick off the animation which I think is a lot better than the old one. I'm planning on scripting and voicing that section today, and potentially even animating some of it if I have the time.
