Actually if that gets removed then I'd think it'd just show the “Confirm your email to enable sharing” thing

I don't think so. Confirm your email appears in the HTML before this one, so maybe Google just isn't good at identifying what's part of the page content and what isn't.

I don't think they'll have an email outage that will coincidentally be solved by 8am EST soon.

Definitely a good idea - if the Scratch Team wants to keep the code just in case the issue reoccurs, they could just save it in a file or even a Scratch project. Since, well, it takes about 5-20 seconds to get rid of a simple CSS script.

This would be very easy to remove and just has a slight affect on google search descriptions. Support!
