You can just do this, it is very easy. (in this example, xpos is a slider variable)but it would be orangewhen green flag clickedEven though the example is x position, you apply this method to:
forever
set x to (xpos)
end(x position)For the others, mouse x/y can't be changed with scratch according to rejected suggestions, the timer shouldn't be able to be manually changed except to be reset and all the other ones being sliders just wouldn't work.
(y position)

(volume)

So, built-in variables can only be in a normal or large readout. Why not have the option for a slider? It would fit well, and would be quite useful. No support

Why? Scratch's forums aren't a ballot box, they are a discussion board! So, built-in variables can only be in a normal or large readout. Why not have the option for a slider? It would fit well, and would be quite useful. No support

jeez dude how many of your old topics are you gonna bump lol
Exactly, you just don't know how much Scratch can do..Coward! You're just afraid Scratch's sheer powerGreat thought. Why couldn't this be extended to all numerical built-in reporters?(days since 2000)…except for these. These report attributes of things that can't be changed by Scratch, (mouse, loudness, current, days since 2000, video, distance), or would be extremely weird to have sliders (timer)
