apple502j told me this too, you can put non standard number characters as the studio id and it just works like normal

wait WHAT- This is so weird
This doesn't work though: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/%EF%BC%93%EF%BC%96%EF%BC%98%EF%BC%98%EF%BC%93%EF%BC%90%EF%BC%99/comments/
You can't do anything when editing the adress bar itself though…

This doesn't work either: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/%E2%91%A2%E2%91%A5%E2%91%A7%E2%91%A7%E2%91%A2%E2%93%AA%E2%91%A8/
It's kinda confusing how these work up there…

It does.
Ah, so you need to use the % characters, not just add “/comments” in the adress bar. Weird…

https://scratch.mit.edu/about/? is enough…

https://scratch.mit.edu//jobs/?

many old pages are still accessible, including the credits page which lists technology the scratch team uses.

Reported to be moved to BaG, as it's a bug – this question is kind of resolved, so it should be closed, but I'd rather have it open in BaG.

By the way ?* in the url means a parameter, so the page should be the same.

I know - for example, https://scratch.mit.edu/search?q=project means “The parameter q (query in this case) is project”.

A ST member opened a pull request in scratch-www that adds documentation for the routeAlias option in routes.json. It's used to determine which URLs are scratch-www pages, so it's probably related to this bug: if it ends with “$”, adding additional characters to the path returns a 404, if it doesn't, it's a 403.
