Does any/all versions of Scratch desktop work on Apple Mac devices that have the ARM-M1 chipset? If yes, does it work without Rosetta?

Can any one who uses a Mac with the M1 chip clarify this?

Works perfectly with Rosetta, of course.
Without Rosetta, it would probably crash, because it's not an “universal” application yet.

I can't test it though because duh, I can't just turn off Rosetta.

For other versions, I don't see why not because Rosetta is supposed to work perfectly and for the most part does.

edit: it says “Intel” over there, so there is no M1 version…. do you think they're gonna make an optimized version?

yeh thats why i shared the image to prove its an intel app
Maybe, who knows. It doesn't really matter because it's all JS and Electron anyways and it might not even be Scratch's choice (prove me wrong) but maybe.

Yep, and it'll run faster and better if it was optimized for M1

It's possible. It might be a good idea to open an issue about this in the scratch-desktop GitHub repo.
