When I try to put my background I made in Photoshop it is really pixelated. The image is 1920x1080 and I am saving it as a png. Any suggestions?

Try saving it as a 480x360 and try again. (Would have replied to you 15 minutes earlier, but the internet went down as I was typing this.)

Problems with your image:

• Your image is 16:9. It needs to be 4:3 so it fills the entirety of the background.
  
• Your image is so big that it's being downscaled (which ruins the quality a lot). Use 480x360.
