I was wondering what the width and height is on a studio thumbnail I am trying to make my own studio and everything I try it's just stretched too much or I am beyond the 500x limit I can't figure I tried making the image really thin it would go evenly but that didn't work, please help.

The aspect ratio of a studio thumbnail is 17:10, or 1.7:1 - this means that the image is 1.7 times as wide as it is tall. Any image that fits this (for example, a 170x100 image, or a 340x200 image) will fit without being squished.
