how can I get audio from youtube into my project?

I am wondering how I can get audio from youtube into my project and if it's even allowed

Yes – but got away with it. I suggest not to, if you don't want to get banned in the site itself. I recommend bensound.com for music, as I never used sound effects.

MP3* MP4 would be the video, which itself is not allowed, as it beats the purpose of YouTube Red, allowing you to download videos- but its already pretty much bypassed with screen recording

I would only recommend screen recording and an MP4 to MP3 converter only, and that’s if the song was originally released on YT. Elsewise, just find a project with the song in it, or find a guidelines-breaking music sharing project and report after the backpacking.

Although people are correct that exporting audio from YouTube may violate its terms of service, it's hardly even enforced.

I'm not sure who wrote this but they gave a simple answer to a question related to yours (about whether they are allowed to export YT audio): “Technically, no. Realistically, yes.” Or something like that.

I'm not trying to encourage piracy here.

Go to some mp3 converter site and paste the link to the video on the box. Press enter/return and click “mp3”.

This might violate YouTube's Terms of Use, but most people who do it get away with it since their not making money off of it. I used to do this a few times but nothing bad happened. But who knows?
