Hello! I have been a member of the scratch community for awhile now, and recently got drawn into the Dungeons and Dragons community as well. A long-form campaign is basically where you take a LONG time to do things. It's usually forum based, and you have a DM and some players. The DM describes the setting in a post, players respond in no particular order, then DM describes your new setting based on the actions the players took. There's usually very little dice rolling involved unless if it's on the DM's side, otherwise it would take too long.
This will be a sci-fi space campaign.

Now that I've explained that, here's the idea:
I want to do a long-form campaign here on scratch with up to five players.
I want people to follow this discussion topic so they can get in on the magic.
I want people to help me make this campaign into a game when it's finally over.
Will this get popular enough so I can accomplish those things?
It's up to you.

Here's a synopsis of the campaign story:
(No spoilers, don't worry)
The captain, who's in control of the ship, suddenly starts to question the mission they've been given.
The executive officer, the one who's responsible for the health and safety of the entire crew, notices the captain's acting strange.
The pilot, the person manning the ship, is having some problems with the steering.
The navigator, the person making sure they stay on course, notices a space anomaly they are heading towards.
The engineer, the one who's in charge of keeping the ship in tip-top shape, begins to question the integrity of the cockpit and other areas.

I love D&D too and guess what! I'm Gender-Fluid and Gay (attracted to men)! or straight…Here sometimes I'm gay and sometimes I'm straight. Any ways…DM-ing is not my thing either. so far we have a lot in common! XD
