A mobile app and game creator using Scratch’s layout and programming language
Before you comment, please know that this is not about a Scratch mobile editor. It’s about an app creator like App Inventor that uses Scratch as a basis.
Scratch is a programming language that is simple. But you can only use it on the Scratch website. One year ago, I started using App Inventor. It uses Blockly, a Scratch alternative. All the settings and buttons are a bit confusing coming from Scratch. A lot of the features I was used to were not there. The possibilities were limited, and not in a good way. I wish a Scratch app and game creator was made. It would have all the features of Scratch with new ones for mobile programming. You could export the projects you make and import them into the normal Scratch website. You could also export the projects in different forms, so you can publish your app to the App Store or Play Store.
If you’re wondering what some of the new features could be, here:
Vibration
Tilt control
Animated Text (from Scratch Lab)
Face Sensing (from Scratch Lab)
Text boxes
Importing and exporting images, etc.
It’s fine if these features don’t get added to the Scratch app creator. They are just examples of what could be added.

No support, I think that a Scratch mobile editor should come with all of the same features as the desktop version and nothing more.

It’s not a mobile version. It’s an app/game creator that uses the Scratch programming language. It will still be a website.

I agree. It should come with the same features or add those features to the desktop editor. No support, I think that a Scratch mobile editor should come with all of the same features as the desktop version and nothing more.

But it’s not a mobile editor.

Oh, sorry. I still don't think that the Scratch developers would be interested in something like that. It would take time that they could've spent developing the regular site, and having closed-source projects is something they've been very adamant in preventing. It’s not a mobile version. Then maybe it would be on the same website. There could be a button saying New App. Don’t you think that Scratch should be used for other things that aren’t just on the same website? It’s a programming language and programming languages are used in many different ways.

Having two types of projects on one website sounds really confusing. Being on a different website was the least of my concerns to be honest. Then maybe it would be on the same website. You have to pay, like, a $99 a year developer fee. People using Scratch almost certainly don't have that kind of money. so you can publish your app to the App Store
