Hello! Today I will be talking about using clones for different purposes on scratch such as dodging games, or intros and outros. Before I keep going, make sure to follow me on scratch and make sure to check out my profile! I have more than 140 followers and I need your help to reach my goal of 200!
Anyways, lets keep going.

#1 Clones: Creating a clone in scratch is basically creating a replica of a sprite in your project. When you create a clone, more of the same sprite will appear on the screen. You might already know that, but today I will show you how to use them properly.

To start off, first pick a sprite. Let’s just go with the basic scratch cat. Now start your programs: “When flag clicked,” (go to the loops section and find clones scripts). “Create clone of myself.” “When I start as a clone..” “show” “ Go to x (_,_) .” If you did this right, you should be seeing two scratch cats in the position that you commanded both to go. Great! You are ready for the next step!!

#2 : Ok here is the next set of scripts. These scripts are to be added on to the previous “When I start as a clone” scripts. “Glide one seconds to pick random 150 -150.” “hide.” (add a repeat loop to this whole script). If you did this correctly, you sprite should go the the main position, create the clones, become visible, glide one seconds from their choice of position all the way to the second position and hide.

Making Animations and Games using Clone Blocks Part 2

Hello! This is part 2 for my previous article up on top. I explained to you about how to make a game using clone blocks. Today, I will teach you making an animation using clone blocks. Well before that, make sure to follow me and also, I want to give @Paddle2See credit for this because he inspired me to keep on making forums to help people. Like new scratchers or just anyone who needs help in making animations and games.
Anyways, let’s keep going. I would say that making games using clone blocks is a little harder depending on what game you want to make. If you want to make a platformer, it will take a TON of work when it comes to making clone platforms or duplicate platforms.
Animations on the other hand is a little bit easier. Today I will be giving you an easy example of an animation that requires creating clones. Well so this will be a fireworks project. Pick a sprite for example the button sprite.

Ok so here are to scripts:
“When flag clicked”
“show”
“go to x( _,_)”
“ glide one secs to (_,_)
“create clone of myself” (repeat 10 times)

When I start as a clone:
Go to pick random (150_,_-150)

Now if you did this correct, you should see the “firecrackers” going to a random position. It will give a firework effect that is really fun to see.
