"Grow up" appeal emails
Apparently, I've heard that in appeal replies to people like @moss-shadow, a part of the email tells them that they are “too old” for Scratch. Said person (moss-shadow) was banned for making a video on YouTube talking about someone else releasing their personal info. Why is the ST including this in appeal replies, and why are they even worrying about off-site actions (that they even said they can't control).

Ok. Where did you hear this? I'm assuming @moss-shadow isn't you, and this sounds like a myth to me. Could you provide a source for where you heard this?

Could you provide a source for where you heard this?I found this in a comment on a studio from this site. I tried to make sure if it was true by asking people on (redacted messaging site), and they said it was true, with photo evidence added that they do include that kind of stuff in their emails.

There’s no part of the email that says that. That particular mossy rumor is false,

It's not obvious, but the ST is implying that.Apparently, I've heard that in appeal replies to people like @moss-shadow, a part of the email tells them that they are “too old” for Scratch. Keep in mind that the person who posted the image said that this email came from an ip ban in which he exposed a child predator.

Ah, yes. I see what you're saying now, but I think you misunderstood what the email said. Here you go. https://u.cubeupload.com/TTARuses2/canvas.pngWithout sharing the site, could you post the photo here? Here, I'll put the image here:

The Email says that
But when we see users who have been blocked and notified so many times, we start thinking that they're not really interested in Scratch anymore.I think the bit I underlined is actually the most important line in this. What I think this is really saying is ‘When people start breaking he rules and ignoring our warnings, we begin to believe that they don’t care about Scratch anymore because they don't care about getting blocked.'
Which sends a completely different message.
I don't think Age has anything to do with this- the first sentence, the bit before the highlighted part in the image, talks about age, yes, but this doesn't say that people are ‘too old’ for Scratch at all. It just says that they probably don't care anymore, because they break the rules.

snipOkay. But I'd also like to add on that other people have also said @moss-shadow was banned because her college's IP address was banned. Maybe that has to do with this in some way?

We don't block people because they are “too old” for Scratch. Scratch is for all ages — including those who are older and more mature. The email that you have shared is saying that those who break the Community Guidelines repeatedly do not seem to care about Scratch. This has nothing to do with the user's age.
