I feel I need to clarify what the Collaboration Directory actually is. We have had lots of spam posted on this topic lately, so I would like to inform people about exactly how this topic works.

Firstly, this is not a chatroom to ask for people to collab with you. If you have an idea for a collab and you're looking for members on it, I would recommend creating a new topic in the Collaboration forum for the collab and stating that you are in need of members.

Secondly, this is not a place to advertise your collabs. The purpose of this topic is to sign up your existing collabs to the directory, so that people who want to be in collabs have a nice, neat list of collabs to choose from. This directory was made to help people find collaborators and promote their collabs, but randomly posting links to your collabs or asking for collaborators wasn't what this topic was built for.

Thirdly, if you want your collab to actually get added to the directory, fill out and submit the Add Your Collaboration form on the front page, which specific details so we know what you mean and how to add your collab. If you apply without the form, there's a chance it will get buried and nothing could happen.

Lastly, this topic is not a place to experiment with the Scratchblocks Plugin and post nonsensical jargon, or in other words, spam. It is also not a place to promote your own projects. If you want to experiment with the Scratchblocks Plugin, there is a whole forum topic built for that sort of experimenting. I would recommend keeping spam posts off the Scratch website, because it is a Community Guidelines offence as it is a strain on the Scratch Team's time. Also if you want to promote your own non-collab projects, please create a new topic in the Show and Tell forum.

From now on, I am going to start reporting any posts and/or users that violate what I have said here, such as spam advertising posts. The front page of the topic will also be updated to be more particular about how to use the topic. Users asking for collaborators will be kindly redirected to creating a new topic in the Collaboration forum, with some notes on what to put in the topic. Also, users applying without the form will be asked to use the form.

Also we have another exciting announcement! Applications for staff at the Collaboration Directory are now open, with the intentions that this development will reduce the amount of work I need to do to keep this directory up to scratch. To apply, fill out the application form below and wait for a response once applications close on the 29th, so you have 10 days to get your applications in. If I do not get enough applicants to fill each position, the application period will be lengthened.

Positions available:
Assistant Manager: You will take control of the whole directory when I am absent, and help me out along the way.
Director: You have full control of adding, removing and updating collabs on the directory, as well as sorting them. This is the only position that needs to reserve a post once applications are over. Once this position is occupied, my directory will essentially become a backup.
Responder: You have full control of responding to each application and telling each user that the collab will be added shortly. Also you will point out flaws with the application and tell formless applicants to use the form.
Reporter: You have full control of getting all the spam and advertising posts off the topic and reporting them.

Please link a BBCode example with your form so we can judge your BBCode skills, because this is a formatting heavy commitment. To prove that you are a worthy contestant for these positions, you must check Scratch at least once a day, be following the topic, and have at least 60 posts on the forums. You also must not have New Scratcher status. To prove you read this whole post, include the words “little mixxx” in your Resume field.

I hope you understand and that the Collaboration Directory will now be a better place for everyone.
