Sure I can find my self by searching ArrstalKOP, but my friend's account is kopatop, but I can't find him/her by searching. Can somebody explain?

The search can take a while to index things, although my alt account has been here for less time then that, and is already indexed…

Well in the meantime you can view their profile by going to "http://scratch.mit.edu/users/kopatop".

I don't think you can search new scratchers in this way.

You can always find their profile, if you know their username. Just put

scratch.mit.edu/users/SomeName

(replace "SomeName" with your friends username)

In your browsers address line.
