The automated moderation system is bad enough as is, I don't need to get temporarily banned because six people decided to falsely report my user pages. No support for now
you can't get banned for this, nor an alert. the pages just get taken down and reviewed.
Either way I see no point in having these “user pages” if they're so fragile that six friends could take down all eight of them in a few minutes if they really wanted to
EXACTLY
once again, getting pages taken down isn't a big deal, since you can do everything you would normally do now with your pages reported. Just so you know:

From what I have heard before though, you said that if 3 people report a “user page” it will be permanently gone; unrecoverable?
No, just not visible to the public until moderators review it.

Yes, but they provide more room and creativity, plus they have more titles so you don't have to write something completely unrelated.
In my opinion, I feel like the “About me”/“What I'm working on” sections of profile pages are fine the way they are. Although the character limit for these sections of the user page may be too restrictive for some, that's sort of the point – users don't necessarily have to write too much about themselves or what they're working on. If they insist on being able to write more, the Featured Project workaround works quite well.

The show and tell forum is a mess. This would clean it up, and provide another way to advertise.
How exactly is it a mess?

Also I feel like advertising on the “Show and Tell” forums might be more effective than advertising in tabs that are somewhat hidden on users' profile pages.

I would consider this more of a temporary issue. I'm sure that at some point, the Scratch Team will be able to sort out the issue with the chat filter blocking legitimate project URLs.

About the report button, could you look at my mockups?
The mockups look good!

However, I wasn't concerned with the design or placement of the “Report” button, but rather the fact that user pages are another part of the website for the Scratch Team to moderate. There could also be some concern about how user pages are somewhat hidden from the rest of the profile.

Edit: Fixed some grammar and reworded the response to the last quote a bit.

Support, I'd probably use 1 of these as a page for just forums, like a full directory of all my posts, have my full signature, ex.

I'm not sure “it's a broken feature so don't bother using it” is really an argument that will do you any favors here May I suggest just not automatically removing them? We're already working off of the assumption that a moderator will have to look at it eventually

But then a famous user could use BBcode to spell out a bad word or something.
It isn't broken

Yeah? A famous user could also post a project with a swear word in it, and I don't see anyone being overly paranoid about that.

No, they can't. Unless they make a really complicated code or sprite, it's nearly impossible. With BBCode I can use the [b][/b] in between letters. If there is no automatic take-down system, then this can't possibly be implemented. Imagine there's a troll. They can exploit scratch, by giving some sort of source code or hacking abilities. They can curse, put down scratchers and much more. Not only does this keep it from the public, but you are also relieving the scratch team of mass reporting. The reporting system benefits the sites reputation, and may make a few scratchers mad, but without it you have a few happy scratchers, a ton of trolls and parents suing MIT.

Bump. I support this because then you can report users that are doing more than one bad thing at the same time.

That is not what this is for.
