Alrightyyyy before we can get into the events of the story, we have to get some background info about the villain. Because you know, who doesn't like villains with actual decent backstories.

So there are two brothers, Rowanfur and Beewing (start as Rowankit and Beekit). Their mother Squirrelfeather (currently deputy of ShadowClan) receives a vision that basically says that Rowanfur will help destroy the clans, and as a result, she starts treating his brother like an angel, and tries to pretend Rowanfur doesn't exist. By the time she figures it out, she has decided she would rather train as a medicine cat, meaning she wouldn't be allowed to love him back anyway. (She then falls in love with another cat and has a few kits but ignoring that for now) Rowanpaw is dismayed by this, and it really doesn't help his situation. Rowanfur then falls in love with Freezeflame, Cherrywing's sister. He has worked up all of the courage to confess, and even picked flowers for her, only to find her and Beewing sitting with each other, Rowanfur is heartbroken and Beewing tries to make him feel better, which fails, especially after the two brothers learn Freezeflame is expecting. (Cherrywing is as well, this is crucial) The leader of ShadowClan, Sorrelstar dies, and Squirrelfeather becomes leader, and promotes Beewing to deputy. Rowanfur gets mad at Squirrelstar for promoting Beewing to deputy without having him train an apprentice first. Freezeflame and Cherrywing have their kits on the edge of clan territory because Cherrywing ain't supposed to be having them, so Freezeflame adopts the kits, and finds another kit in the woods on the border with SkyClan. In the mess of trying to keep track of 7 kits because that's a nightmare, they accidentally lose one (WindClan will find them later, no worries yet).

Rowanfur is mostly fed up with Squirrelstar at this point (which he rightfully is), and he goes into the leader's den to demand an explanation. Squirrelstar gives him none, and Rowanfur exits, even madder than before. It is this point where Dark Forest cats realize they can take advantage of him, which they do, and eventually drive him to challenge Squirrelstar for the leadership of ShadowClan. Rowanfur accidentally kills her, as he had no intention of killing her, just defeating her in battle. Beewing is left to become leader, and his first act as leader is to exile Rowanfur. Rowanfur is again near heartbroken, because he thought of all cats, Beewing might understand why he had done what he did. All of this drives Rowanfur to insanity, and drives him to hurt Beestar as much as Beestar hurt him.

I haven't decided much on the actual plot of the story, only the ending, but the events in the middle change a lot, and never sticks for very long. So if y'all wanna hear the end, lemme know.

Ahh the age old question… Ashfur or Brambleclaw! LOTS of people whine about Bramblestar but also hate Ashfur! Who do YOU think would be a better mate? I wont´t judge but personally I think Ashfur. Tell me why you agree or disagree.

Neither. Squirrelflight is much better off as an independent woman and doesn't need any toms to help her.

Bramblestar was good at first, but he eventually turned into an abusive mate after gaining power in Thunderclan.
Ashfur is way too clingy and obsessive, and he's the textbook definition of a yandere.

I wholesomely agree, and it probably won't cause the humongous problem of Squrielflight having to pretend she gave birth to Leafpool kits, because she doesn't have a mate.

Actually yeah, Ashfur isn't a crazy, psychopathic cat when he was born. He became that cat when Squirrel chose Bramble instead of him. Which didn't really make sense because they had like 3 or 4 major fights by now.

Exactly! It's actually kinda like Rowanfur's story in a slightly less messed up way.

hot take: it was good for ashfur to get mad at bramble for stealing squilf
of course it doesn't excuse his yandere-ness or trying to murder bramble's kits
but at least it's bramblestar he hated, and we all know bramble is the worst cat for squilf

my great granny bought me the fifth book and i never read a single piece of warriors text in my life. it is sitting on my shelf untouched so should i read it?
