Rename Scratch Cat

after searching 10 whole pages of topics, I can say that this has never been suggested before, not even remotely close(probably because no one's been bold enough to)

Scratch wouldn't really be… Scratch anymore I guess if you rename the cat. -At least, in my opinion.

I bet that scratch would lose some popularity if the scratch cat was renamed.

The thing is (talking to the op) is that Giga, Pico, and the others are all just random throwaway mascots, like side characters if you will. It wouldn't be good to make Scratch Cat, the main mascot, seem like just a side character. Nobody would know what mascot to use when representing Scratch in media, and the Scratch Team might have to get new Copyrights for Scratch Cat if they change their name (dont quote me on that). The ‘side characters’ arn't even copyrighted, only Gobo and Scratch Cat are, which literally shows how they are the main mascots.

Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but I just don't like how unreasonable this suggestion is.

Agreed. Scratch Cat shouldn't have to be on the level of tera and the like, because he is the main character of Scratch after all.

The name is fine the way it is, at least in my opinion. Scratch Cat's name is simple and to the point! After all, it describes what the character is, a cat that represents Scratch!

semi-support. I think scratch cat should have a better name for being the mascot of scratch and all. but “sepi” would make scratch cat blend in with gobo's friends. i suggest that he should have a different name. i don't have any name ideas though
