I'm thinking of making a project that allows the user to search the web for songs and then plays the songs. Any thoughts on how I might implement this?
Essentially, I want the user to be able to play any song they wish. . .

Scratch projects cannot access anything outside of the project; thus any music player would require either all the songs to be included in the project from the beginning, or for the song to be pasted in as some sort of MIDI-type encoding into either the “ask” block or a list.

I heard of a kid who made a music player that accessed any song on the web. Maybe Scratch doesn't allow that anymore?

Not sure where you heard this, but it is almost definitely fake.

Well, i have seen projects that use javascript. maybe that can help?

I made a project like that, but it doesn't have to much songs look at it and it might help
