Upgrade BBcode Signatures

I've been using BBcode for over a year, and I've created various “signatures” on other sites that have more advanced BBcode, allowing left, right and center tags. However, on Scratch there are only limited features. Also, images have to be hosted on few hosting sites. Error message claims you have to use Imageshack, but that doesn't work also. Spent half an hour just trying to post 3 simple images. I tried using Imgur, which is also a free photo hosting site, and it wouldn't work. Also, upgrading the signature feature would allow for lots of more creative and interesting signatures.

Suggested tags: left, right, center, colour (including transparent).

Examples: (These were all coded by me).

[center] and [color] already exist, and [left] is just normal text. [right] is the only one that would need adding.

ImageShack is a terrible host IMO, it is paid and images can expire. The best one to use is cubeupload, it is free and doesn't require an account (although you can make one if you want to find your images again or give them custom URLs). This suggestion suggests changing the default host in the error message.

You can actually make quite creative signatures with the BBCode that is already there, but I support adding [right].

@stickfiregames I've been using BBcode for a while, and to properly code something, you would need a proper left tag. I tried cubeupload, and it wouldn't work.
Yes, you can still make creative signatures, but without a right and left tag, the signature examples I posted would be impossible to create.
Presently, there isn't a transparent colour yet, so adding that would be incredibly helpful.

Also, nice signature!

There is [color=transparent]

What's the difference between a left tag and the default left aligned text?

Cubeupload works for me most of the time. Excuse my siggy, it's because today's April Fools. One of my real siggys is below:

Support for [right], [center] (and kinda [left]) already exists.

[center] already exists, and left is just normal text. I don't think right would be very useful in many situations anyway, so no support.

Right tags would be useful, in creating more advanced signatures, like the examples I posted above. Wouldn't you want a signature like that?

I make my signatures in columns, and a separate left tag is necessary to do that. Otherwise, it would be stuck in the same column.

Oh, OK. What does the BBCode for columns look like? I've never seen any site that uses it.

Most of this suggestion has been implemented, only [right] hasn't

Alright sure, I guess I support the idea of a “right” tag.

i dont see why op cares so much about the signatures especially considering they barely even post here

The OP can care about features that they don't use.

Also dang close your tags

If anyone has seen what the images were supposed to be, could you explain what they looked like – in some good detail?

They were probably just mockups of cool signatures that could be made with the suggested tags.

I'd say so.

I'd love it. I'm not sure it's a priority of the Scratch Team's for right now, but it's something to consider.

Then again, it does open up new possibilities to “misquoting someone and messing up all the BBCode in the quote”… but so does lots of the things the Scratch Team added anyway.
