I have been working on a new scrolling patformer but idk how to make a checkpoint. while exploring ive noticed a lot of platformer games with those flags when upon being touched by the player sets a checkpoint at the position. IVE BEEN TRYING FOR HOURS PLZ TELL ME HOW TO MAKE A CHECKPOINT

that will work if it was a platformer. im doing scrolling platformer

Try putting the player spawn point to the x and y position of the checkpoint sprite's clones.
If it works please do tell me.

Have you already tried that?
If it doesn't work I don't know how to do it.

I'd suggest creating 2 variables called X and Y checkpoint. You can then use these to reset the player's position when they are no longer touching a surface and falling downwards.

I had the exact same problem! I made a scrolling platformer with checkpoints, look inside the checkpoint script and player script, just go into my profile and you will see the project that says difficulty chart obby
