If you didn't view the project, how do you know if it's inappropriate or not?

No support. Would make it even easier for trolls to report innocent projects.

No support. I don't like how OP isn't listening to criticism, either. Most of the points brought up against the idea have just been deflected with “Scratch is terrible without this suggestion,” “I'm not listening,” or "Come on, it's not that bad of an idea!" OP, please learn to take criticism in a mature way. We're in this forum because we care about the improvement of Scratch too, not just because we're mean people who shut down all good suggestions.when have i ever done that
yeah, exactly. they should work harder. its not our prob that their job is hard, they're still getting paid, so they should just quit if its too hard. plus mit can hire more moderators. fun fact, the so called known st members probably dont do much moderation. apparently there are hidden st members who work at mit, doing stuff like replies, management and of course, moderation (from what i can see).It is our problem, more reports mean more time for the ST to review the reports, the more time it takes the longer inappropriate projects stay up, and that's not goodNo support, this would assist in mass reporting and just be an inconvenience in general. Imagine your browsing trending and you accidentally click the button and now you have to click off. This would happen time and time again especially for users on mobile. In summary, it would inconvenience most everybody.and its not our problem if itll make the st's work harder

No support. Would make it even easier for trolls to report innocent projects.not our prob, moderation should be PERFECT. ur saying that mass reporting would be an issue, but thats a moderation issue, in fact, this should be another suggestion (to improve moderation).

im not rceplying to any more posts mentioning this, as it will steer off the topic. moderators (mit, who manage scratch) should be able to handle a few (if ur going to go like “feEEeeWww?? !? ! ?” then just go (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ) reports. back to the suggestion which will never get accepted.
I'm pretty sure only the one's with accounts, or in your terms ‘known’ ST member moderate, we shouldn't be trying to make their job more difficult, the more difficult it is for them, the worse it is for us, and look at thisIt is our problem, more reports mean more time for the ST to review the reports, the more time it takes the longer inappropriate projects stay up, and that's not goodyeah, exactly. they should work harder. its not our prob that their job is hard, they're still getting paid, so they should just quit if its too hard. plus mit can hire more moderators. fun fact, the so called known st members probably dont do much moderation.
in a case where the parent pays the child for chores
I'm done cleaning the living room
Okay, here's your money
Let's trash the living room to make their job harder, they're getting paid after all, so what if I have to stay in a trashed living room till the weekend, they need to learn how to work hardThis is unfair to the child who is already working hard to clean the living room, there's no good reason to delibrately get the living room trahsed, just because they're paid to clean up the mess
apparently there are hidden st members who work at mit, doing stuff like replies, management and of course, moderation (from what i can see).replies such as? I'm pretty sure the one's with accounts do all the moderation, also, what's your source
not our prob,It is our problem, more phony reports, the more time it takes to review projects, the more time actually inappropriate ones stay up
moderation should be PERFECT.Complete perfection is impossible, the ST are humans, they aren't robots, they have lives
ur saying that mass reporting would be an issue, but thats a moderation issueIs it a issue with how the ST acts that causes people to needlessly report people
in fact, this should be another suggestion (to improve moderation). It's not a moderation problem that you can't endure a for few seconds, you can just try not to look at the thumbnail, or something else

Yes, taking away people's jobs or overworking them because they don't work 24/7 is a good ideayeah, exactly. they should work harder. its not our prob that their job is hard, they're still getting paid, so they should just quit if its too hard. plus mit can hire more moderators. fun fact, the so called known st members probably dont do much moderation. apparently there are hidden st members who work at mit, doing stuff like replies, management and of course, moderation (from what i can see).It is our problem, more reports mean more time for the ST to review the reports, the more time it takes the longer inappropriate projects stay up, and that's not goodNo support, this would assist in mass reporting and just be an inconvenience in general. Just report and use window.location.replace to remove it from history.

No support, if you're not looking at a project, how do you know it's bad? And if the thumbnail is bad, you can just start the project, which makes it disappear.

Anyways, not saying how, but you can already spam report with curl. Could someone post a reply with curl as a PoC, then show a screenshot of it? (whiting out the sessionid and bot bypass parts)

tbh i might close this why is everyone hating on this suggestion, its stupid that it isnt there! like, i mean, come on isnt mit trying to make scratch kid-appropriate? they should provide more efficient moderation. if mass reporting is an issue, then moderation is terrible. ok, now im mad! i might explode in a few secs. O_oI don't know why you think the scratch team only reviews like 5 projects a day and think that their work is easy – so please respect them. If you are wondering why everyone isn't supporting this suggestion, it is because it will just make the mass-reporting issue worse.
